Sustainability Partners & Participants
The New Orleans Garden & Farm Festival is proud to collaborate with local sustainability leaders. Our partners and participants are the backbone of this event, providing the expertise, resources, and community passion needed to cultivate a greener, more resilient urban landscape for all residents.

Native Plant Initiative of Greater New Orleans
The Native Plant Initiative of Greater New Orleans was founded in 2019 and works to increase the use and availability of native plants in local ecosystems. NPI operates public display gardens, organizes seed giveaways and host volunteer workdays. The group maintains public spaces in City Park, the Rosa F. Keller Library & Community Center, and the Lafitte Greenway. Volunteers package and distribute seeds widely at community events, pop-ups and festivals.

Imagine Water Works
Imagine Water Works is a New Orleans-based grassroots organization that merges art, science, and mutual aid to tackle climate justice, land stewardship, and disaster readiness.

Material Institute
Material Institute is an experimental cultural institution and learning community in New Orleans where art and ecology are practiced as one. Based in the Upper 9th Ward, the institute explores the deep interconnection of the natural world and human expression by making, growing, and innovating with sound, soil, and textiles. Centering emerging Black artists from New Orleans while welcoming creators of all backgrounds, it is a collaborative space designed to widen perspectives, build radical connections, and shift contemporary culture.
